Coming from a mom of kids who fight me to wear any sort of heavy jacket, form of warmth, I was so pleased that this jacket was light weight enough my kids didn’t complain and SUPER warm. The color palette was cool toned and honestly could work for my son or my daughter. My oldest ended up wearing it to an evening soccer practice and it was the perfect warm but lightweight layer. It has nice pockets, a hood, perfectly loose fit but not too loose or too tight. Sleeves are perfect for an under layer and not too tight in the arms or wrist. overall it’s very functional and really adorable. We loved the full zipper function as our son does not always enjoy a pullover hoodie. There were pockets on each side of the jacket but would have loved for them to have a zip up function available. Warm enough to wear on a cool day, but definitely not meant for cold cold weather. A great base layer to wear under a thicker coat if you live in colder weather. The tri-color panel design, coupled with the heavily reinforced stitching, creates a fun and functional jacket for the active kid. Two large pockets provide ample space for small hands and an assortment of rocks, acorns, or anything else picked up along the trail. The bottom of the fleece and the end of the arms are equipped with elastic that fit nicely against body. There’s enough space in the midsection and shoulders for a light sweatshirt or tee for added warmth. I recommend this fleece for anyone looking for a lightweight, fleece to grab on the go.
