Red-dirt ready
Nike Claybreaker technology helps give you enhanced traction and less build-up on clay courts. Added grip in the forefoot and midfoot work with a wide traction pattern to help you slide with control. We used traction maps, pressure maps and analysed clay build-up areas for the design. Then we tested it on red-clay courts in Europe in multiple clay-weather conditions (cold, warm, wet and dry).
Durable Traction
Extra rubber in the toe area, specifically the big-toe side, adds durability. High-abrasion rubber in the forefoot offers durability and traction. We updated the toe skins for increased durability in a high-wear zone.
Zoom, zoom
A forefoot Air Zoom unit helps you play on your toes and puts a pop in your first step. A heel Air Zoom unit provides support.
Stay in motion
A strong midfoot plastic plate adds stability for quick cuts and power to your game when transferring energy from motion to motion. The webbing around the eyestays combined with the plate offer 'hugged' containment when moving side to side. The heel has extra padding to help keep you comfortable and supported.
